Swim Team State Finals - Way to go Lions!

Our swim team turned in outstanding personal and team finishes at their GIAA state meet last weekend.  The Varsity boys finished the day as state runners-up and the varsity girls finished in 3rd Place! A huge congratulations also to Karoline Nimmo (8th) on breaking the state record in the middle school championship! Go Lions!

Father Daughter Dance 2024

Buy your tickets today!  WCA dads and daughters ~ Please join us on Saturday, February 3rd from 6:30 - 8:30 for a magical evening of dancing under the moonlight.

Donate Today for SR Mission Trip

Seniors Request Gift Bag Donations

Follow this link today and sign up to donate items for the Senior Class' mission trip to the Dominican Republic!  The Westminster Class of 2024 is headed to the DR in March.  They will be working in the country with the Lighthouse Projects in towns around the capital city of Santo Domingo.  As part of their work, they have the opportunity to go door to door handing out gift bags, praying with the people and sharing the love of Jesus.  For more information about this ministry, click here.

They hope to fill 100 gift bags and that's where we need you!  Please follow this link to sign up for requested items such as wash clothes, toothbrushes, crayons, soap, etc.  There will be suitcases in both the upper school and lower school to accept donations.  If you are able to help with this effort, please bring your donated items before Friday, February 9th.  Thank you in advance for helping our seniors connect with people they encounter in the Dominican Republic.


SAT for 10th and 11th Grades in March

Opt Out Deadline Today, January 31st

The SAT will be given on March 14th to 10th and 11th grade students.  Please contact Mrs. Cole by today, January 31st, if you do not want your 10th or 11th grade student to take part.  The cost is $60 (charge through FACTS incidental billing) and will be given during the second or third week of March.


After School Location Change

The Afterschool Program has been permanently moved to Mrs Kreiger’s 5th grade classroom. Still on the playground side of the lower school, pickup for after school will be the 4th door down the side of the building.  Please make note of this change if your child participates in the after school program.  Thank you!


AfterSchool Program Registration

We are happy to be able to offer our After School extended day program to our parents who need additional childcare.  After School (available to all lower school) begins at 2:45 with pick-up at 5:15 pm.  

After School Reminders:

  • Please remember that pre-registration (see process below) is needed for the after school program.
  • There are a limited number of spaces available for each day.  If you haven't pre-registered, and we reach our maximum number of students, your child will be unable to stay.
  • Additionally, please remember that a student in extended care may only be signed out by someone who is of driving age or older.
  • **Emergency contact form must be completed and returned before a child can stay for AfterSchool. Please follow this link for the form.**
  • Charges of $15 per day per session will be billed to your FACTS account on a monthly basis on the 15th of the month for the previous month.
  • Please know, that effective immediately, there will be a $10 fee for all late pickups.
  • Pick-up time is by 5:15 pm.  Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

How do I sign up?

  • Click the link: After School Registration
  • Click the date your child will need to attend. If your child will attend every day of the month, or the same days each week, you may select "repeats" and choose daily or weekly. If After School reaches max capacity, you will see a red message that says "FULL" on the day. 
  • Click on the "Calendar" box and select “ASP SIGN UP”
  • Type student name(s) into the "Who" box
  • Type AS for After School.

Complete your Re-Enrollment Today!

Take advantage of reduced fees for re-enrollments completed by January 31st

It is now time to secure your child's placement for the 2024-2025 school year.  Our current enrollment is at or near capacity in many grades, so we encourage you to reserve your child’s placement for next year. Open spaces will be made available to prospective families beginning February 1. We have a record number of applicants, so it is critical for you to secure your spot now.

High School Quiz Bowl Teams

Our high school quiz bowl teams had an incredible season! Both teams performed well at the region tournament in Greensboro with our blue team winning the region championship. The blue team advanced to the state tournament where they beat Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, Young Americans Christian School, and Lafayette Christian School. Our team won by more than 100 points each round. We advanced to the semi-final round and made Westminster proud!

The gold team included Samuel Chapman (captain), Faith Lawhead, Josh Pfluke, Maggie Ediger, Jake Peacock, Asher Arnold, Dominik Magazin, Ben Noles, and Ollie Joslyn.

The blue team included John Donatelli (captain), Daniel Durling, Ellison Townsend, Walker Allen, Elec Hunt, Landon Beaver, and Ethan Townsend. 

Senior Mission Trip Requests Gift Bag Donations

Boonli.com Open Until Tomorrow Morning for February Lunch Orders

It is time to order lunches for the month of February.  Boonli.com will be open for you to place your orders until tomorrow morning, Thursday, January 25th, at 9 am.

If you are new to the Westminster community, or if this is your first time placing an order, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Boonli.com
  • Click the link to “Register” at the top of the page
  • Enter the password for our school - WCA319
  • Follow prompts to complete your registration, including creating profiles for each of your students.
  • Make your lunch selections and add them to your cart.
  • Be sure to “check out” and pay after you've made your selections.  Your order is not placed until it's paid for!

Order Your Yearbook By Friday, January 26th

If you have not yet purchased your 2024 yearbook, there is still time! There will be a limited number of copies ordered this year, so make sure to purchase and guarantee your copy. This Friday, January 26th is the LAST DAY to order your yearbook and to personalize the book with your student's name. Order yours by clicking here today!

Upper School Honor Roll Recognition

The first semester honor roll recipients will be recognized on Friday, January 26 at 8:05 am in the gym.  Parents are invited to attend.  There are two levels of recognition and the criteria for each is as follows:  

Principal's List:  All A's in each academic subject. For a list of Semester 1 Principal's List Honorees, follow this link.

Honors List:  An overall average of 89.5 or higher combined for all academic classes.  There may be no grades lower than an 80 on the report card.  For a list of Semester 1 Honor Roll Honorees, follow this link.

We look forward to honoring the hard work of our honor roll students!

2024-2025 Upper School Course Registration

Course registration is now open for all upper school students in grades 7 through 11.  Please see below for additional information.

All current 10th and 11th grade students:  Individual Advisement for current 10th and 11th grade students is now happening.  Please use the link in the email that was sent yesterday from Kelly Cole to schedule your appointment.  Both parents and students are encouraged to attend.

All current 7th - 11th grade students:  Enroll for high school classes through your FACTS Parents Portal before January 31st!

Re-Enrollment for 2024-2025

It is now time to secure your child's placement for the 2024-2025 school year.  Our current enrollment is at or near capacity in many grades, so we encourage you to reserve your child’s placement for next year. Parent's Night Out (and/or afternoon!)

Senior Mission Trip Fundraiser

Register today so that you don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a few hours “away” while supporting a worthy cause!  On Saturday, January 20th, the Senior Class of 2024 will be hosting a Parents Afternoon and/or Night Out fundraiser for their upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  There will be an Afternoon Session from 2 pm until 5:30 and an Evening Session from 6 pm until 9:30 pm.  You may register your child(ren) for one session or both.  Each session will be $15 per child, with a maximum fee of $50 per session per family.  Please see these links for additional information and registrations:  Flyer.  Registration.

Father Daughter Dance 2024

Mark your calendars!  We are excited about another magical evening of dads, daughters, and dancing. Our Father Daughter Dance will be on February 3rd from 6:30 - 8:30.  Information about ticket sales and further information will be in the announcements next Wednesday. 

Parent's Night Out (and/or afternoon!)

Senior Mission Trip Fundraiser

Parking Update

Visitor Parking:  You may have noticed that we have a few new signs on campus, including new “visitor” parking spaces.  Please be aware that there are now four spaces below the traffic circle that are designated for visitors to our campus.  It is important that those four spaces are left open for visitors so please refrain from parking in them.  

Handicapped Accessible Parking:  The handicapped accessible parking spaces in front of the upper school should be left open at all times for persons having appropriate permits.  Please select another parking spot at all times unless you are a permit holder.  Thank you for your help!

Lost and Found

It's a new year and a new collection of lost and found items already!  Please stop by and take a look for things that belong to you and yours.  Items will be on display through the end of the day on Friday.  At that time, like always, anything unclaimed will be donated to a local charity.

Students who are currently in grades 6 through 11 will be getting course registration information in the next few days.  Please be on the lookout for an email from Mrs. Cole with detailed information on course registration for HS courses.  Students in grades 10 and 11 will schedule an individual meeting with Mrs. Cole to discuss plans for after graduation and how course selection enriches the past they choose to follow.
