Parent's Night Out (and/or afternoon!)

Senior Mission Trip Fundraiser

On Saturday, January 20th, the Senior Class of 2024 will be hosting a Parents Afternoon and/or Night Out fundraiser for their upcoming mission trip to the Dominican Republic.  There will be an Afternoon Session from 2 pm until 5:30 and an Evening Session from 6 pm until 9:30 pm.  You may register your child(ren) for one session or both.  Each session will be $15 per child, with a maximum fee of $50 per session per family.  Please see these links for additional information and registrations:  Flyer.  Registration.

Parking Update

Visitor Parking:  You may have noticed that we have a few new signs on campus, including new “visitor” parking spaces.  Please be aware that there are now four spaces below the traffic circle that are designated for visitors to our campus.  It is important that those four spaces are left open for visitors so please refrain from parking in them.

Handicapped Accessible Parking:  The handicapped accessible parking spaces in front of the upper school should be left open at all times for persons having appropriate permits.  Please select another parking spot at all times unless you are a permit holder.  Thank you for your help!

Lost and Found

It's a new year and a new collection of lost and found items already!  Please stop by and take a look for things that belong to you and yours.  Items will be on display through the end of the day on Friday.  At that time, like always, anything unclaimed will be donated to a local charity.

Friday Lunch - Volunteer Needed!

We have an urgent need for a volunteer for Friday lunch distribution.  Ideal availability would be from 11:30-12:30, but 11:30-12:00 is the most critical need.  For more details, contact Tollie Ediger (tediger@wcalions.org).  Thank you for your willingness to consider helping us!

Upper School Course Registration for 2024-2025

Students who are currently in grades 6 through 11 will be getting course registration information in the next few days.  Please be on the lookout for an email from Mrs. Cole with detailed information on course registration for HS courses.  Students in grades 10 and 11 will schedule an individual meeting with Mrs. Cole to discuss plans for after graduation and how course selection enriches the past they choose to follow.

SAT for 10th and 11th Grades in March

The SAT will be given in March to 10th and 11th grade students.  Please contact Mrs. Cole if you do not want your 10th or 11th grade student to take part.  The cost is $60 (charge through FACTS incidental billing) and will be given during the second or third week of March.

Upper School Honor Roll Recognition

The first semester honor roll recipients will be recognized on Friday, January 26 at 8:05 a.m. in the gym.  Parents are invited to attend.  A list of recipients will be published in the announcements next week.  There are two levels of recognition and the criteria for each is as follows:  Principal's List (All A's in each academic subject) and Honors List (An overall average of 89.5 or higher combined for all academic classes)  There may be no grades lower than an 80 on the report card.  We look forward to honoring the hard work of our honor roll students!
